ACTREG rack and pinion actuator on a ball valve, fitted with a limit-switch box, filter-regulator and positioner

Accessories

The published range

Manual override when the supply is lost, mounting kits that match the valve, position feedback, and the pneumatic or hydraulic controls that sit on the actuator. Specified with the actuator rather than after it, because a gear operator changes the mounting height and a switch box changes the certification the assembly carries.

Manual override

When the air or hydraulic supply is lost, these let the valve be opened and closed by hand. The published options are a hydraulic pump, a jackscrew and a declutchable gearbox; which one fits depends on the actuator size and how often the override will be used.

  • Hydraulic manual override

Local pump, tank and directional valves for the larger scotch yoke sizes.

  • Jackscrew emergency override

A hand screw that drives the actuator through its quarter turn.

  • Declutchable gearbox

Sandwich gear operator that disengages for powered travel and engages for hand operation.

Valve mounting kit: ISO bracket, coupling and fasteners

Structures and couplings

Mounting kits between the actuator and the valve, machined to the valve's own flange rather than adapted in the field.

  • Materials

Stainless steel, carbon steel, or another grade on request.

  • Machining

Prepared for every common valve topworks.

  • Design

    Open or closed structure.

  • ISO 5211

    Valve mounting flange and drive.

  • EN 15081

    Industrial-valve actuator mounting kits.

Limit switch box and compact pneumatic actuators for position sensing

Positioning and monitoring

The signal back to the control system: end-of-travel confirmation, a continuous position, or an inductive sensor on the same VDI/VDE 3845 bracket.

Hydraulic control panel piped on an ACTREG actuator

Pneumatic and hydraulic control systems

The panel that sits on the actuator: the valves, filters and logic that make a unit fail safe, detect a line break, or stroke faster than the standard ports allow.

  • Panel components

Solenoid valves, filters, quick-exhaust valves, pipework and flow regulators.

  • Line-break detection systems

  • Emergency shutdown systems

  • Control-system design and manufacture

  • Redundant safety systems

  • Fast opening and closing actuators

Special ACTREG actuator assembly on a ball valve, with switch box and positioner

Special constructions

Actuator variants built for a duty the standard range does not cover. Quoted against the valve, the atmosphere and the stroke time.

  • Flameproof protection

  • Fast-acting actuators

  • Actuators with 100% stroke adjustment

  • Special coatings

  • Constructions for critical service

Published models

Items that carry a current data sheet. The families above are specified even when a sheet has not been issued yet.

Looking for the actuator itself? The four actuator ranges carry the torque tables and duty data.
